Summer Sketchbooks

A gentle, inspiring seasonal journey to nurture your creative sketchbook practice

Summer Sketchbooks is a creative course with a difference, designed to help you develop your sketchbook practice in a way that feels light, open, and achievable.

It's self-paced so there is no expectation to keep up.

There is no requirement to be “good at drawing” just curious and willing to explore.

No pressure to turn your pages into finished work.

Instead, you’ll be invited into a slower kind of noticing.

This course is for you if you're:

  • a creative who starts sketchbooks but never finishes them

  • a person who feels overwhelmed by blank pages

  • an artist craving a gentle, playful summer project

  • a busy person wanting a simple daily creative ritual

  • longing to reconnect with creativity without pressure

  • a perfectionist who overcomplicates their art process

  • a nature lover wanting to creatively respond to summer

  • a beginner who doesn’t know where to start

  • an experienced artist wanting fresh inspiration and structure

  • recovering from burnout who want a softer creative practice

  • a journaler or mixed media artist wanting more cohesion

  • someone who collects ideas but struggles to develop them into a body of work

  • a creative who wants to build confidence through consistency

  • a creative soul who loves seasonal living and creative reflection

  • wanting to slow down and notice summer more deeply

I introduce a way of collecting summer inspiration through simplicity, marks, colour, texture, and response.

Small, doable creative moments that fit into real life and slowly fill up your sketchbook.

What you’ll explore

Across the course you’ll be gently guided through seasonal sketchbook prompts and creative invitations that help you:

  • reconnect with your sketchbook and season without pressure

  • settle into the season, noticing the small, everyday details of summer

  • loosen perfectionism and overthinking on the page

  • build a creative rhythm that feels flexible and manageable

  • explore colour, texture, and mark-making in simple ways

  • let your sketchbook become a space for presence and play

You don’t need special materials.
You don’t need long stretches of time.
You don’t even need to “feel creative” before you begin.

You just need to be curious and willing to explore Summer and what it means to you.

Seasonal invitations and creative prompts

that help you to slow down and tune in and connect to the colours, textures, sights and sounds of summer.

Immerse in the process

Gather inspiration from summer, simplify and explore on each new page until your sketchbook is bursting with your creative summer journey.
